Here's a nice close up photo of a Rolee Polee in the closed up
position. The Rolee Polee mouse was named after the Rolee Polee Bug
also called the
pill bug or
sow bug or
isopod. I think most people call
them Rolee Polees. What do you call this type of bug?
This was a live Rolee Polee that I found underneath a rock. It was
hard to get a good photo of him in the open position, because he/she
is constantly moving. I release him back to his/her rock after the
photo session.
He/she was a cute little creature. Here you can see one of its
little legs poking through the shell.
What a good self defense mechanism. I wish I could curl into a ball
of armor when faced with dangerous situations. Rolee Polee bugs are
truly an interesting little animal that you can find in most
locations of the world.
